Static shots, people looking right at camera, reciting. Nothing about this is anything but adequate. While the cause might be worthy, it’s forgettable. And how does the audience know that doing good deeds helps the doer? The actors are telling us, when the film should be showing us.
Nice color.

Hi LuisaG,
Well, hopefully it’s more obvious on a TV screen – All these shots feature slight moment to give the piece some energy. Personally, I wanted the relationship with the camera and the kids – who are all from the charity – to be clean and simple so that they could speak directly to us. The message of “helping myself” was (hopefully to some viewers!) communicated by the fact that the oldest boy is graduating at the end of the piece. The different charitable activities the kids participate in fill each frame.
Thank you for viewing my PSA and commenting.
